Adobe Acrobat For Mac Os X 10.4 11

Adobe

More powerful than other PDF software, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for Mac (formerly Adobe Reader for Mac) is the free, trusted standard for viewing, printing, and annotating PDFs. And now, it’s connected to Adobe Document Cloud — so it’s easier than ever to work with PDFs on computers and mobile devices. Current Version: 7.1.0 (May 12, 2008) / 8.1.3 (November 5, 2008) / 9.3.3 (June 30, 2010). Adobe Reader (formerly Acrobat Reader) is the industry standard tool for reading and interacting with PDF (Portable Document Format) files (although Mac OS X's built-in 'Preview' application handles the vast majority of PDFs with aplomb). The version 8.1.3 update addresses a number of customer workflow.

I upgraded to Adobe Reader 8.1.1 on my MacBook Pro running Tiger 10.4.11 and the upgrade didn't finish, it ended with Adobe Reader crashing.
I repaired permissions and tried re-installing but something is still causing it to crash.
Can anyone tell me how to completely uninstall Adobe Reader 8.1.1 ?? (where are all the prefs, etc.) I have Adobe Acrobat standard and other Adobe products (Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Photoshop) installed so I don't want to trash anything needed by those apps.
Has anyone else encountered this? thanks
